about

Formed in 1971 by singer Franco Serena, who had a good
career in the '60s with groups beat "The Ranger Sound"
and "I Ragazzi dai Capelli Verdi", this quartet of Padova in
northern Italy played until 1975, with a good result, but
unfortunately without being able to affect any disc.

Their style was a hard rock with strong influences of
British groups, and the powerful voice of Franco Serena
(not very different from that of Chris Farlowe or
Paul Williams) in evidence.
The only records of this training have been published
by Mellow in 1992.

Franco Serena briefly reformed the band in the '90s,
along with bassist Mauro Periotto and with two new
members, guitarist David Gally and drummer
Alberto Zanetti.
Their CD, "... And then, contains 10 tracks, for the
most part taken from the old production group, four
of which were sung in Italian while the rest is in
English and quite different from the typical sound of
the Italian prog bands....

A great album that maintains a feeling 70s and shows
a strong link with the English progressive scene in
those years.
Among the guest musicians on the CD are the original
members of the Nuvole di Paglia with special guest
Aldo Tagliapietra (Orme).
