about

KURT RONGEY is a North American musician with
classical formation in the Royal College of Music
and Keele University in London, during his youth,
he participated in several bands as drummer,
vocalist and also in the keyboards.

While completing his studies in 1991,he released
his first album "Book in Hand" and almost
immediately focused in a successful career as
radio broadcaster of classical music reaching the
position of programming manager for
Dallas station WRR.

In 1998 he published his second solo album
called "That was Propaganda" a conceptual
record about the explosive clash between
individualism and collectivism in Russia
and Eastern Europe.
That was Propaganda is also the beginning
of a musical collaboration between Kurt Rongey
and the virtuoso guitar player Bill Pohl that has
it's peak with the formation of
The Underground Railroad

His music is rooted in Classic Symphonic
of the 70's, specially Tony Banks but with
a bit of ECHOLYN and a unique edge
that gives him an original and modern sound
important for the development of a new form
of Symphonic Prog.
