about

1980 - Mellow Records reissue: 1994

Lead singer of the group in the 70s progressive
METAMORFOSI, best known for the album "Inferno",
one of the masterpieces of Italian progressive,
SPITALERI was the author of a single album,
"Uomo irregolare", published by Ciao Records in 1980
.
David SPITALERI was the composer of the music,
the lyrics of Maurizio Monti, great atmosphere and intensity,
Monti already written several songs for Patty Pravo
(Pazza idea, Come un Pierrot, Morire tra le viole,
Occulte persuasioni) and author their own 2 lp 70s.

"Uomo irregolare" is a work of high-level musical and poetic,
that still gives strong emotions; a journey into the world
of alcoholism, of marginalization, of madness, of loneliness
.
An album that focuses much of his wealth in the lyrics,
but that has also benefited from excellent musicians,
among others, Mauro Pagani (violin),
Gianni Marchetti (keyboards), Stephen Senesi (piano),
Massimo Fabreschi ( bass), Walter Calloni (drums),
Giorgio Cocilovo (acoustic guitar),
Gianni Oddi (alto and soprano sax).

SPITALERI in recent years reformed with Enrico Olivieri,
supported by two new musicians the group METAMORFOSI.
