about

In its many facets, the progressive showed on
many occasions how strong the connections
that bind him to jazz.
"Strange shape" is the second album of 3vel,
interesting training that reflects the heritage of
the great groups of Italian jazz-rock,
traveling along this borderline with class and
professionalism unique.
Really beautiful the beginning of this work with the
atmospheric (and almost symphonic) introduction
keyboard works of "I know it's time to say goodbye",
a song that continues with references to Perigeo,
sweet female vocals and a final where an electric guitar
recalls best Metheny, while the sax and rhythms
"night" refer to the jazz classic.
The other tracks maintain high quality and the music
always winds between jazz-rock Mediterranean Italian
("Akua" is also an excellent cover of the great
band Baricentro) and the references to the Fusion,
the latter more evident in the speeches of the six
electrical cords.
A job really cared in the smallest details, well
recorded and that I would recommend to any
lover of good music.
